Who We Are

Premier Soccer Centres formed in 2003 under the Directorship of Mark Jones and Dave Hunt.

Mark had a successful playing career spanning 15 years, signing a professional contract for Oxford United FC at the age of 16. ‘Jonah’ spent 10 seasons at The Manor before moving on to Swindon Town FC, then Cardiff City FC, before finishing his playing days in the Conference with Farnborough Town FC. Mark was privileged to be involved in three promotion seasons during his career and was part of Oxford United FC’s winning Milk Cup Final Squad of 1986. When his playing days were over he turned his attention to coaching children, passing on his knowledge and experience to the children of Oxfordshire. Mark said, “Although you can never replace playing, watching the children develop comes a very close second”.

Dave passed his coaching qualifications in 1993 and prior to PSC had spent 11 years delivering coaching sessions within primary schools. Dave previously started his own soccer school in 1994, firstly with after-school football clubs, then Saturday morning clubs and later complemented these with soccer fun weeks during the school holidays.

Dave also spent 7 seasons coaching at Thame United F.C., as Manager of the Reserve and Youth teams, as well as being part of the coaching staff for the First Team.

In 2003, after a long period of working together, Mark and Dave decided to form Premier Soccer Centres.

After a year of Premier Soccer Centres forming, the FA recognised their high standards and awarded the FA Charter Standard Holiday Award in February 2005. The FA has disbanded the award scheme now but, during the period they did, it was only given to those companies that delivered holiday football training of high quality and but also had enjoyment of the game at the heart of it.
